Nuzhat Ahmed, M.D completed her Internal Medicine residency at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas in 1997 after earning her medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. She was a senior staff physician at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, a large multi-specialty group, in Austin, Texas for 15 years. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed served as Medical Director for long-term health care center as well as home health and hospice agencies. She moved to Frisco, Texas in June 2012 to live closer to family and founded Centennial Primary care specializing in Internal Medicine with a strong emphasis on prevention and maintenance of health. In addition to being board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Nuzhat Ahmed has been credentialed by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), a preeminent scientific organization focused on menopausal health) as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner. Physicians who hold the NCMP certification have demonstrated special competency in the field of menopause. Certified Menopause Practitioner is a woman’s midlife healthcare expert, whose mission is to promote health and ensure quality of life through these difficult changes and beyond. She is a member of Collin-Fanin County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, North American Menopause Society and National Osteoporosis Foundation.
